Playing with the myth of Shakespeare, this is the first of a two-part escapade that begins with Navin and his Japanese wife Toshiko embarking on a second honeymoon to England’s Stratford-upon-Avon, the home of legendary bard. When Toshiko’s bag is stolen on the streets of Birmingham, Irish cabbie Pat drives by to save the day, and in return Navin offers to draw Pat and his wife Mary’s portrait. Navin and Toshiko’s new friendship is put to the test when dark forces conspire to alter history and separate Pat from his sweetheart. Only the poetic words of Shakespeare himself can intervene to put history back on course. This is a modern day Romeo and Juliet, with a touch of Back to the Future, and a hint of Harry Potter.
