This ten volume serial centres around the three principal heroes; Wizard Navin from Chiang Mai, journalist Johnny from New York, and expert in the occult Professor Piak from Bangkok. When combined, they form the powerful three-headed superhero and demon fighter Mai Pen Rai Man, whose task it is to defeat the evil Supreme Ghost from Thailand and his devilish spirit army. The story begins in Tokyo Bay when a drunken businessman finds an old pot that he believes holds ancient treasure. Once open, the pot releases evil Thai ghosts that spread havoc across Tokyo. Sensing distant trouble, Wizard Navin joins forces with his two comrades and the three set off for Japan. Throughout this series, Mai Pen Rai Man travelled to various places in Tokyo to catch ghosts while enjoying meeting new friends and teaching Mai Pen Rai culture to Japanese folks. After the exorcism of each ghost a strange coin was found. In the ultimate chapter, the mystery of the coins is solved and the Supreme Ghost is prevented from ruling the world. However to exorcise this almost invincible spirit Mai Pen Rai Man gathers the joint forces of all his previous allies. Thanks to the superhero from Thailand the world is saved and Tokyo can at last return to peace.
