In this sequel, Navin is preoccupied by the trappings of being a successful artist and neglecting his wife Toshiko who is now expecting their first child. He returns home to Fukuoka only to find Toshiko has packed her bags and left him. So begins the yarn that takes him back to England and reunites him with his old taxi driving friend Pat and his wife Mary. However it’s not just old pals he is destined to meet again, as Pat’s nemesis Ben and an evil wizard conjure up more black spells to plot the downfall of both Navin and Pat. It’s up to Shakespeare’s words to save the day, along with another journey back in time, and the assistance of a horse and carriage cabbie, that saves two marriages and delivers a fresh young face into the world.
