Long Heart
2008
Navin’s Sala

Appropriated from 70’s style fashion and film magazines where text bubbles accompany photo stories like a comic strip, Navin Production’s first photo novel Long Heart is the result of a collaboration with Thai young photographer Alongkorn Sriprasert and a team of creative designers who together in 2008 put together a retrospective of the artist in book form, Navin’s Sala. Full of colourful photographs, the 48-page tale is an unforgettable love adventure. Featuring Navin’s past works and interweaving hundreds of the company’s products throughout, its is a unique tale set in the world of Navinland.
Starring Navin, his team at Navin Production, and cameos by guest actors and actresses, Long Heart begins with the return of Long, an international playboy artist who arrives with a bunch of roses to beg his old lover Heart to rekindle their love. The couple returns to Navin’s Villa in Pattaya where their romance first began. The setting is inspired by the world of Navin and the kiss of romance is washed down with Navin Wine from Slovakia. Decked out in swim suits, the couple celebrates their love on a private boat cruise arranged by Uncle Navin, an old friend of Long’s father. Arriving at their destination for lunch, Heart is kidnapped leaving Long lost and tearful. Long’s sleepless night is comforted by the Villa’s receptionist Pannada, who actually turns out to be the heroine Iron Pussy, eventually saving the day with the help of Geon damm de Pattaya.
Collaborating with a band of Thai fashion designers and a film production crew, the unique series of costumes and sets were produced in the vein of old Thai cinema. Merging the original Pha Khao Mar suits and bags designed by Navin Production with the newly launched sexy Pha Khao Mar bikini that so successfully lured Long into an evil trap, Long Heart is a not to be missed masterpiece by Navin Production!
