For Paris’ annual dusk-to-dawn art festival Nuit Blanche, Navins of Bollywood was shown on a big screen in the public gymnasium of the Carpentier Sports Complex. Hung on the adjacent wall to compliment the film was the same movie billboard painting created in Mumbai during the film’s production, enabling visitors an opportunity to view the painting physically and virtually simultaneously, relaying static visuals with moving imagery to convey its diasporal theme.
