Invited to exhibit in the Art Statements section of Art Basel, Navin Rawanchaikul went with the Japanese gallery Satani and ended up winning the prestigiousBaloise Art Prize that year. It was the first time he presented a three-part installation for this project, showing a series of billboard paintings in front of which was placed a figurative life-size fibreglass sculpture of a young Inson Wongsam riding a real Lambretta scooter laden with his associated baggage, and the Fly with Me to Another World book.
