Fly with Me to Another World
1999
Guanrene Arte 99, Foundazione Sandretto Re Rebaundengo per L’Arte, Guanrene, Italy

For the project debut, the first Fly with Me to Another World billboard painting was presented for the group show at Foundazione Sandretto Re Rebaundengo per L’Arte promoting five young international artists. The painting pertained to Inson Wongsam’s scooter trip from Thailand to Europe, as well as his friends, family, and teachers. There was a certain Italian connection because Inson had been tutored by the Bangkok-based Italian sculptor Corrado Feroci, who became known as the father of modern Thai art with adopted Thai name of Silpa Bhirasri, plus Inson had also held a solo show of his wood block prints in Florence back in 1963.
