This first work produced in the bottle series, while shooting photographs in a suburb of Chiang Mai, Navin salvaged old glass medicine bottles from a recycling place, placing a black and white photo of different elderly people in their villages inside ten of the soiled receptacles. The closed bottles were placed in wooden pig feeding troughs filled with soil from the differing communities that the elderly subjects hail from. Suggesting these senior citizens have been buried in their home village, the artist incorporated the pig troughs to symbolise that the villagers have become like cattle, herded up and kept alive but not much more. Underneath each trough was a blank book with the name, year of birth and location of each of the villagers.
